Kick-off for the “Jugend schreibt” (Youth Writes) 2025 project year
Kick-off for the project year ‘Youth Writes’ 2025, still under the motto ‘Discover Slovenia in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung/FAZ’.
At the invitation of the host, the Municipality of Celje / Mestna Občina Celje, represented by Gregor Deleja, a kick-off for the new project with the FAZ took place in Celjska Koča from 21-22 October 2024. The working group from Celje was part of ‘Team Slovenia’ with a total of 21 students, supported by teachers from five primary and secondary schools/grammar schools.
The programme included team building as well as an introduction to journalistic work, the history of the project in Slovenia, practical tips for concrete implementation and initial steps for future work.
The two-day workshop also included an appearance by ‘Elvis from Celje at a press conference’, followed by an initial interview with the student journalists.
We would like to thank everyone involved for their interest, their committed and motivating participation, the Celje actor Renato Jenček for his inspiring and informative contribution to the programme, and above all the MO Celje, which made this event possible and will continue to offer the project under its patronage in Celje. A Global voice from Slovenia
A Global Voice from a Small Country: Nika Kovač/Slowenien
How does activism begin? How does someone become an activist? What opportunities, challenges and effort are involved?
And what do the ‘8 March Institute’, Barack Obama and Luisa Neubauer have to do with it?
What does it mean to be honoured as a ‘Global Voice’?
