‘Artificial intelligence/AI – opportunities, challenges, risks – examples from our perspective’ –
Award ceremony for the 7th Croatian National Robotics Championship in German (CLILiG Robotics) at Trnsko Primary School in Zagreb. The award ceremony is opened with the Croatian and European anthems, performed by school choirs. Headmaster Josip Petrović welcomes the successful primary and secondary school teams; Katja Kuceja, Head of the Culture Department, speaks on behalf of the German Embassy in Zagreb, and Adam Vuk speaks on behalf of the project’s patron, the KDV. In the event moderated by Nikolina Reder, Gerald and Monica Hühner present the history, objectives and current relevance of the CLIL robotics project on behalf of the organising INSTITUT DISCIMUS LAB. According to the jury, the project ‘highlighted aspects of AI in surprisingly innovative videos that are rarely discussed in public discourse’. Dragan Sabljak, speaking on behalf of the robotics jury, points out that ‘all of the school teams now programme their robots so perfectly that there were hardly any differences in the scores.’
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all supporters of the project, including Školska knjiga, Hueber Verlag and Naklada Ljevak with Ivana Horvatincic Ajayi, for their motivating prizes – this year in particular to TOVEDO, D.O.O., for which Tom Periša presented each of the 16 winning pupils and teachers from Marija Gorica Primary School and the Technical School Čakovec with a hoodie bearing the project logo ‘7KCRM’.
Once again, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participating school teams and their mentors for their dedicated work and congratulate them on the products they submitted. We look forward to welcoming the top three winners in both the primary and secondary school categories to the 2nd International CLILiG Robotics Championship, which will be held in Zaprešić on 23 April 2026.
