II. International Robotics Championship in German (CLILiG Robotics):
Having qualified through their respective national championships, the top three primary and secondary schools from Croatia and Slovenia took part in the second edition of the International Championship.
The event was hosted by Zaprešić Secondary School in Croatia on 23 April 2026.
The pupils from the 12 participating schools formed six binational working groups, each comprising one primary school and one secondary school, which were selected by drawing lots. For the task – ‘The use of robots in tourism for a presentation at ITB Berlin’ – the teams had to develop a narrative, design a route for the robot performance, and were given a total of 180 minutes. An international jury then assessed the products at each workstation. First place went to the team from OŠ Videm pri Ptuju (SLO) and the Technical School Čakovec (HR).
Congratulations to all participants on their excellent contributions, and many thanks for your commitment and for making the journey here, some of which was quite a long one. Special thanks go to the German Embassies in Ljubljana and Zagreb for acting as patrons, to the jury, to all our supporters – in particular Etra d.o.o. from Celje – and to the pupils and staff of Zaprešić Secondary School, led by Headteacher Dr Alan Labus and Project Coordinator Ida Globočnik: they were wonderful hosts!
Following seven Croatian, five Slovenian and two international CLILiG robotics championships, we are planning to restructure the project. We would be very grateful for any suggestions and support in this regard. Concept/Project management: INSTITUT DISCIMUS LAB
